Late one evening, as I was practicing, I thought about the many Irish people who inspired these tunes, all of whom died so many years ago.
As I played the music on my Harps and Violas da Gamba, I wondered if their Spirits would approve. Could some of them have gathered here to listen? A line from Patrick Kavanagh's poem On Raglan Road came to me;
“ON A QUIET STREET WHERE OLD GHOSTS MEET”
In that moment I knew what to name this album.
